Rose McCan's passion for Irish folk music began on an Irish national holiday in a Zurich pub, where countless pub visitors sang along to countless “Dubliners” songs. This was and remains an unforgettable and formative experience.

Her love of Irish folk music and her songwriting talent led her to start writing her own songs and tunes in the Irish folk style. These are joined by traditional pieces, atypical cover versions and her unmistakable “EirischFouk” songs (Irish oldies in Swiss German). And as a balance to so much Irish music, she has recently even been working on her old dialect songs and exploring the pop music genre as “Ros Rain”. And how could it be otherwise, here too the assimilated Irish soul resonates.
